Nothing is expected to release its very first smartphone soon. According to a new report from Tech Crunch, the company’s first smartphone might be released as soon as next month. Carl Pei’s company currently has only one product on the market. However, the brand has been teasing new products for over a year. Pei is said to have demonstrated the first Nothing smartphone to executives from companies such as Qualcomm at the MWC 2022 in Barcelona. A launch in April would also be almost a year after the company’s first rollout of a product, the Nothing ear (1) which launched back in July 2021.

There isn’t much information available regarding the Nothing smartphone at present, however, Carl Pei has been releasing hints about the phone’s release on a regular basis.
Pei previously stated that he wants the company to grow into an ecosystem of multiple gadgets. A smartphone seems likely to be the most significant device in such an ecosystem.

Nothing even bought the ‘Essential’ brand, which produced a single Android phone (designed by Android co-founder Andy Rubin) before shutting down three years later. Another clear indication came later last month when Nothing’s Twitter handle posted a new tweet that said, “March is going to be fun.”

Nothing is also said to be working on a power bank, which is expected to be released before the first phone from the company. The power bank is most likely to be known as the Nothing Power (1).
Nothing hasn’t yet confirmed which pricing bracket it intends to enter with its debut smartphone.
