Hulu (now owned by Disney) is one of the most popular streaming TV services due to the variety of channels and content it offers at an affordable price.
Hulu subscribers have access to both traditional channels and exclusive content from the company. The company also offers optional channel packages to tailor the experience to your liking.
Users can access Hulu through web browsers and a dedicated app. The Hulu app is available for desktop computers, mobile devices (Android and iOS), TV Boxes, and some Smart TVs.
However, lately Apple devices (Apple TV and iOS) have been facing an issue with the Hulu app where their Channels and Favorites lists are missing or not loading in Live TV guide (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).
According to multiple reports, channel lists and favorites are not appearing or loading correctly for many Hulu users on Apple TV.
When Apple TV users try to access their Channels and Favorites lists, a few channels will appear first, and then the Hulu app crashes when choosing one.
Apple TV app crashing when using ‘Channels’ tab for Live
On Apple TV when viewing the ‘Channels’ tab under Live, the channel list is no longer appearing, or only showing a few channels. When trying to pick one of those channels the app crashes. I’ve tried restarting the device, but the issue is still occurring. When using recent or one of the other tabs it works fine, it’s just the ‘Channels’ tab that is being problematic.
Yep, same issue here. Been happening off and on the last few days. Sometimes restarting the Apple TV helps. But so far today, nothing, including restart/reinstall, has fixed it, and Channels (all) is completely inaccessible.
The issue is not limited to Apple TV. Some iPhone users are also facing the same situation on the Hulu app (1, 2 , 3).
@hulu_support my channel guide for live tv is not working. Your customer service via phone told me to update my iPhone. This did not work I am very frustrated and need to know a fix. I have installed and uninstalled app. I don’t want to wait on hold by calling again. Pls help!
In this case, affected users only get the ‘We’re having trouble loading the guide right now, try again later’ error message.
The Hulu team is already aware of the issue and is investigating, but there are no details yet on an ETA for a fix (1, 2).

12:09 pm (IST): Responding to a user’s query regarding this issue, Hulu support says that they currently don’t have any updates to share.
03:53 pm (IST): Hulu support provided a potential workaround for this issue until they fix it. So, those affected can try it out.
