Eligible subscribers in the US have until July 23 to redeem the deal.
Hulu users are getting a free, but limited-time perk. The video streaming service is partnering with Microsoft to offer subscribers three months of free access to Xbox’s PC Game Pass.
On Thursday, Hulu announced(Opens in a new window) the deal, which is available for US subscribers still new to the Xbox Game Pass experience. “The offer is available for redemption via hulu.com/pcgamepass(Opens in a new window) through July 23, 2022 and gives members access to over 100 high-quality games on Windows PC including Minecraft, Microsoft Flight Simulator, iconic Bethesda games, new day one titles, and the EA Play on PC catalog,” Hulu said.
PC Game Pass is Microsoft’s effort to create a Netflix-like game service for the Windows platform. Users can download any of the games available in the ever-changing catalog, and play them for $9.99 per month.
The current(Opens in a new window) game catalog for the PC platform spans over 400 titles. So it’s a good deal if you’re gaming on a budget. However, the Hulu perk only applies to PC Game Pass, not Xbox Game Pass, a similar monthly subscription service designed for the Xbox console.
Hulu announced the PC Game Pass partnership as part of its “Hulu Friends with Benefit” initiative, which tries to add more value to a subscription beyond just video content. (Back in November, Hulu raised the price for its “Live TV” plan, much to the chagrin of users.)
If you don’t have a Hulu subscription, you can try(Opens in a new window) PC Game Pass for a month for just $1. After that, Microsoft will charge you the standard $9.99 monthly fee.

I’ve been with PCMag since October 2017, covering a wide range of topics, including consumer electronics, cybersecurity, social media, networking, and gaming. Prior to working at PCMag, I was a foreign correspondent in Beijing for over five years, covering the tech scene in Asia.
I’ve been working as a journalist for about 15 years—I got my start as a schools and cities reporter in Kansas City. Amazingly I’m still here. Lately, I’ve been following SpaceX’s Starlink network, emerging online cyber threats, and the PC graphics card market (which led me to camp out in front of a Best Buy to get an RTX 3000). I’m always eager to learn more, so please jump in the comments with feedback and send me tips.
