In case you’re not aware, Amazon will hike the price of its Prime membership starting next month. There are banners all over the e-commerce platform revealing that the existing prices are valid only until December 13th. If your Prime membership is expiring before the above-stated date, you can extend the membership by another year for the same price.

What about those who have their memberships ending after December 14th? Unfortunately, they’ll have to subscribe again with the new prices instead of the existing one. However, there is a workaround through which you can extend your membership for an additional year from the date of expiry. If you are wondering how to do it, here’s a quick guide.

As we already know, Amazon Prime will get costlier in India starting next month. For now, the prices are set at Rs 129, Rs 329, and Rs 999 for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly subscription plans, respectively. These prices will be revised as follows.
The Amazon Prime membership extension is being offered by GyFTR, an online gift portal offering gift items including vouchers and gift cards. To extend their Amazon Prime membership by an additional year at Rs 999, users will have to purchase the entertainment Platinum E-gift card on the website.
With this voucher code, your membership will be extended for a year from the expiry date. To illustrate, if your membership is expiring on December 31st, 2021, this method will extend till December 31st, 2022. If this is something that interests you, below are the steps to avail it.
Amazon also has Amazon Prime Youth Offer live on its Android and iOS app, where those between 18 and 24 years of age can lock in Amazon Prime at the old price till December 13th and also get Rs 500 cashback upon verifying their age. This brings down the effective price of Amazon Prime annual membership down to Rs 499 for the youth.
Axis Bank is also offering Amazon Prime annual membership to its customers through the Edge program. As part of the Axis Bank Edge program, customers get reward points on all transactions using Axis Bank saving account, current account, credit card, debit card. If you’re an Axis Bank customer and you have accumulated 4,995 reward points, they can be exchanged for a GyFTR Instant Gift Code for annual Prime membership. The process of claiming Amazon Prime through GyFTR is the same as the above.
Apart from these, leading telecom operators – Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) also offer free Amazon Prime subscription with almost all of their postpaid plans. However, Airtel also offers the benefit with Rs 349 prepaid recharge plan. This plan offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls,100SMS/ day, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, and Airtel Xstream for 28 days.
