Apple Watch Series 7 Release Date and Pre-Orders, Revealed
Apple has just announced that pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 7 will open up this Friday, Oct. 8.
The new device will arrive in stores and to buyers the next week on Friday, Oct. 15.
We’ll take a closer look at the features of the newest Apple Watch.
A Bigger Screen and More
The most notable change in the Apple Watch Series 7 is the screen. Apple reduced the borders of the watch by 40 percent. That brings a screen that’s almost 20 percent larger than the Series 6 and previous models.
It’s more than a 50 percent larger screen than the older Series 3 model.
With the larger screen, the new watch features exclusive watch faces and a built-in keyboard that uses AI to better predict what you’re typing.
The Always-On watch display is also 70 percent brighter when your wrist is down indoors. The watch’s battery provides the same 18 hours of use. But as a nice plus, Apple is including a new charger that can juice up the device 33 percent faster.
You can purchase an Apple Watch Series 7 starting at $399 for a GPS version and $499 for the GPS + Cellular model. With the larger screen, Apple now offers a 41mm and 45mm version. But all previous watch bands are compatible with the new models.
The aluminum Apple Watch is available in five colors—midnight, starlight, green, blue, and (PRODUCT)RED.
Buyers can also purchase stainless steel and titanium models. Just like with previous models, Apple will also offer Apple Watch Nike and Apple Watch Hermès models.
The Next-Generation of Apple Watch is Almost Here
While the Apple Watch Series 7 isn’t adding any additional health tracking sensors, the larger screen and faster charging should definitely draw in users looking to upgrade and anyone new to the wearable device.
