Palm trees pop up at Visalia’s new In-N-Out spot
Some of In-N-Out’s well-known landmarks have popped up at Visalia’s newest location as construction continues through triple-degree temperatures this week.
The burger joint under construction on the corner of Dinuba Boulevard and Riggin Avenue recently added its iconic “X” marks the spot palm trees found at each In-N-Out location.
The north Visalia In-N-Out was first announced in fall 2019 when planning commissioners approved the fast-food restaurant on the condition that it include a drive-thru with room for at least 20 cars.
Concerns over traffic congestion were discussed during the original planning. Still, Visalia City Manager Randy Groom said he hoped that the second location would alleviate the heavily trafficked In-N-Out location on Mooney Boulevard.
A third In-N-Out is headed to the region with Tulare’s first location on East Prosperity, near Evolutions Fitness & Wellness Center. There is currently no public opening date for either location.
The first In-N-Out opened in Los Angeles in 1948. Today, the chain has more than 300 restaurants in seven states: California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Texas.
The In-N-Out on Mooney is open from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Fridays through Saturdays.
The In-N-Out website shows the new location as “Opening Soon.”
