The Witcher Season 2 Trailer Is A Creepy Look At Ciri’s New Adventure
Netflix reveals The Witcher season 2 teaser trailer feature the very first footage. In 2019, The Witcher was renewed for season 2 before the show had even debuted on Netflix. But when it did release, it became one of the streamer’s most popular shows, and their decision was proven justified. Like many shows, The Witcher paused production in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, The Witcher season 2 wrapped filming in early April and it has since been revealed by Netflix co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos that the show will return in late 2021.
The exact plot of the next season is not yet known, but it’s expected to continue following monster-hunting witcher Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), Cintran Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) and the powerful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra). Season 1 ended with Yennefer using a great deal of magic to battle Nilfgaard’s army, disappearing in the process, and Ciri finally finding Geralt. While what became of Yennefer is still unclear, it’s expected Geralt and Ciri’s story will take them to Kaer Morhen, where he was trained to be a witcher. Further, The Witcher season 2 first look photos revealed Geralt will get new armor, Ciri will train with a sword and Yennefer will be in chains. Now, Netflix has revealed a new tease of The Witcher season 2.
Today, Netflix unveiled the first Witcher season 2 teaser trailer, focusing on the Lion Cub of Cintra: Ciri. Check it out below.
